Terms of service
Terms of service
Last updated: 05 August 2026
These terms cover your use of hably.com and any order you place with us. Please read them before you order. By placing an order you accept them.
Who we are
Hably is a trading name of Hably HQ Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 07751628, registered office 31 Walker Avenue, Wolverton Mill, Milton Keynes MK12 5TW. VAT number GB 122 202 285. Email us at hello@hably.com.
Who we sell to
We sell to consumers in the UK mainland only. If you're buying for a business, these terms still apply but the statutory rights described here are consumer rights and won't apply to you. Contact us if you're buying for a business or need delivery outside UK mainland.
Using our configurator
Our configurator lets you design furniture to your own measurements. Use it for designing furniture you intend to buy from us.
You're responsible for the measurements you enter and for checking they're right for your space. The configurator designs furniture, not rooms, so it can't tell you whether a design suits your walls, floors or the things you plan to put in it.
The configurator, the designs it produces and the drawings we send you remain our intellectual property. You can use them for your own purchase and to get advice on your project. You can't use them to have the furniture made by anyone else, or reproduce them commercially.
We may change or withdraw the configurator, or any product, finish or option, at any time.
Prices
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay.
We try to keep prices accurate. If we spot a pricing error before your confirmation call, we'll tell you and you can confirm at the corrected price or cancel for a full refund. We won't manufacture at an obviously incorrect price.
How your order works
You place an order and pay in full. That's an offer to buy, not a contract.
We'll email you a dimensioned drawing of your design, then call you to run through it. Once we've confirmed your design on that call, the contract is formed and we start manufacturing. We record confirmation calls.
If we can't reach you, we'll try three times over ten working days, then cancel and refund you in full.
We may decline an order before the confirmation call, for example if we can't build it safely, if there's a pricing error, or if we can't deliver to you. If we decline, we refund you in full.
Changing or cancelling
Because everything is made to your specification, the 14-day cancellation right that applies to most online purchases doesn't apply to your order. You confirm you understand this at checkout.
You can change or cancel free of charge up to your confirmation call. After that, your order can't be cancelled or refunded. Our returns and cancellations policy sets this out in full, along with what happens if your unit doesn't fit.
What we make, and how accurately
Tolerance
We machine every component to within ±0.2mm on our CNC. That part is precise and repeatable.
Board thickness is the variable. An 18mm panel can arrive anywhere between 18mm and 18.5mm, and in a long run those fractions add up. We measure incoming board and adjust our CAD to suit, so across a full installed run you should allow ±3mm overall.
That's why end panels, worktops, plinths and trims are supplied oversized and cut to fit on site.
Houses aren't square
Walls bow, floors slope and corners are rarely 90 degrees. Our designs allow for it: end panels are supplied oversized for scribing on site, and fillers and adjustable legs take up the rest. A fine scribe line where the unit meets the wall is normal and not a fault. Many people caulk it.
Timber, veneer and painted finishes vary naturally between batches. Samples and images show a representative finish, not an exact match, and screens display colour differently. Order a sample if colour matters to you.
Delivery
Access
Check access before you order.
We deliver to UK mainland addresses. Two people will bring your order into your hallway or the nearest ground floor room. We don't carry upstairs, unpack, assemble or install.
We part assemble. Carcasses arrive built, and worktops, end panels, plinths and trims come oversized to cut on site. Because of that, and because of the size limits built into the configurator, no carcass should be larger than a standard internal door.
If you have narrow or irregular doorways, tight corridors, sharp turns or restricted parking, check before you order. If we can't get your order into your property, or nobody's there on the agreed day, we may charge for redelivery.
Your order becomes your responsibility once it's delivered. Check it within 48 hours and tell us about any transit damage with photographs.
Delivery dates
Lead times are an estimate, not a guaranteed date, and run from your confirmation call.
If we're running late we'll tell you and agree a new date with you. You're also welcome to collect from our workshop. If a delay is causing you a real problem, tell us and we'll do what we can to work around it.
If we still can't deliver within a reasonable further period you've given us in writing, you can cancel and we'll refund you.
Fitting your furniture
We supply your furniture. You arrange fitting.
Wall-mounted and floating units need a wall that can carry the load. Solid masonry is fine. Plasterboard on timber studs needs fixing into the studs. Dot-and-dab plasterboard, dry lining and some modern partition walls are not suitable without additional support, and this is common in newer houses.
Check what your walls are made of before you order. If you're not sure, ask a builder or fitter. We supply guidance but we can't assess a wall we haven't seen, and we're not responsible for damage or injury caused by fitting to an unsuitable wall or by incorrect fitting.
Fitting affects electrics, ventilation and heat. Follow your TV and equipment manufacturers' instructions. Electrical work should be done by a qualified electrician.
Guarantee
We guarantee carcasses against manufacturing defects for five years from delivery. Hardware is covered by its manufacturer's guarantee, which for our Blum drawer runners and hinges is a lifetime guarantee.
The guarantee covers manufacturing defects. It doesn't cover damage from incorrect fitting, misuse, accident, overloading, damp or heat, normal wear, or normal variation in finish. It applies to the original purchaser at the original delivery address.
This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights, not instead of them.
Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they're not, you have the right to reject within 30 days of delivery, and to repair, replacement or a refund after that.
Our returns and cancellations policy explains how to tell us about a problem.
Our liability
We're responsible for loss you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable, or for business losses.
We don't limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Events outside our control
Sometimes things happen that we can't control, like extreme weather, supplier failure, utility outages or transport disruption. If one affects your order we'll tell you as soon as we can and agree a new date.
If we're unable to deliver within eight weeks of your original date because of it, either of us can cancel and we'll refund you in full.
Website use
Don't misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use automated tools to extract our pricing, designs or content. Site content, branding and images are ours or licensed to us.
We may suspend access to the site or the configurator, for maintenance or otherwise.
General
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you ordered.
If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something straight away, we can still enforce it later.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another business, and we'll tell you if we do. Your rights won't be affected.
These terms are governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
